We are incredibly proud to announce that Whippany Park Senior, Angela Liu, has been published in the prestigious National High School Journal of Science! 📝✨
Angela’s study, entitled "Responsibilities in the Home: Investigating the Influence of Household Chores on Northern New Jersey High Schooler's Sense of Internal Control" was conducted as part of the AP Research curriculum she completed last year here at WP.
Her hard work, dedication to data, and deep inquiry have truly paid off. This is a massive academic milestone! 🎓💡

Please join us in congratulating Angela on this incredible achievement! 👏

Our Honors Biology students put their knowledge to the test with an engaging and delicious review! They constructed edible cell models using various candies, carefully selecting each sweet treat to represent a specific organelle (like the nucleus or mitochondria).
The challenge? Students had to explain:
How the candy's structure resembled the organelle's structure.
How the organelle's structure enables its function.
After sharing their scientific reasoning, they got to enjoy their creations! What a great way to link structure and function. 🍬🧠
