Dear Hanover Park Regional High School District Community,
Today, we welcomed our freshmen onto our campuses and are excited to welcome back our entire school community tomorrow, September 7, 2023. Due to the extreme heat, classroom temperatures, and the lack of air conditioning throughout the majority of our buildings, the Hanover Park Regional High School District will operate on a short day bell schedule for tomorrow, Thursday, September 7, 2023. Hanover Park High School will dismiss at 12:18 p.m. and Whippany Park High School will dismiss at 12:43 p.m. No lunch will be served.
At this time, all after school athletic activities will run on a modified schedule. Our athletic directors, athletic trainers and coaching staff will continue to monitor heat and humidity levels on the fields to ensure safe play for our student athletes.
We will continue to monitor indoor and outdoor temperatures and will alert you if additional schedule modifications are required for Friday.
Thank you for your continued support and cooperation.
Sincerely,
Maria Carrell, Superintendent of Schools
